PBIS/PAX

At Kirkersville Elementary, we believe that teaching, modeling, and recognizing positive behavior is essential to helping every student succeed. Through our school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, we create a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where positive behavior is the expectation and every student has the opportunity to thrive.

As a proud PAX school, we use the evidence-based PAX Good Behavior Game to strengthen students' academic, social, and emotional skills. One of our most important tools is the PAX Vision, which teaches and reinforces behaviors that promote peace, productivity, health, and happiness. These expectations are taught, practiced, and celebrated throughout the school year to help students develop lifelong positive habits.

Our PBIS team meets monthly to review student data, monitor implementation, and identify ways to continuously improve our school climate. By using data and staff feedback, we ensure our supports meet the needs of all learners and help every Cool Cat be successful.

Families can also support PAX strategies at home. Learn more about PAX and available family resources through the PAXIS Institute and the PAX Ohio community.
